It looks like Shailene Woodley and her "Divergent" boyfriend Theo James are back together as the power movie couple along with their cast members including the likes of Miles Teller and Kate Winslet kicked off the second installment of the franchise, "Insurgent." According to USA Today, the principal photography for the film began in Atlanta, Georgia at Lionsgate studios on Tuesday, May 27th.

The second flick is expected to hit theaters on March 20, 2015. While Octavia Spencer is set to join the cast, familiar faces such as Jai Courtney, Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q and Mekhi Phifer will be returning to the franchise. The story based on Veronica Roth's "Divergent" trilogy pulled in more than $260 million in worldwide box office sales and the book has sold more than 22 million copies. In the latest film "Insurgent" we will see Tris (Woodley) and Four (James) as fugitives on the run from Jeanine (Winslet), the leader of the Erudite who is set on taking power over the factions.

Lionsgate released a statement about the plot which reads as follows, "Racing against time, they must find out what Tris's family sacrificed their lives to protect, and why the Erudite leaders will do anything to stop them. "Haunted by her past choices but desperate to protect the ones she loves, Tris, with Four at her side, faces one impossible challenge after another as they unlock the truth about the past and ultimately the future of their world."

The final novel of the series "Allegiant" will be split up into two movies, Part 1 and Part 2, and are due to be released March 18, 2016 and March 24, 2017 respectively. Prior to returning to the "Divergent" atmosphere, Shailene Woodley was busy promoting her film "The Fault in Our Stars" alongside Ansel Elgort. She told InStyle, that the role was life changing.

Woodley portrays Hazel who falls in love with Gus after meeting in a cancer support group. She explained, "It changed my whole life and put things in perspective," adding, "I realized I was good at being outwardly positive because that's how I am by nature. "But internally? I was so mean to myself. Realizing I needed to make a shift was a big moment for me."
